Ana Teresa is an Associate Architect in our Lisbon office. She graduated from Lusíada University of Lisbon in 2011 with a master's degree in the field of preservation and reuse of the decommissioned industrial heritage. Her research focused on the source of a new architectural typology associated with the urgent need to preserve and repurpose industrial structures. In the same year she was elected a member of the Association of Architects. In 2014, Ana Teresa won two AA Visiting School fellowships—one in Madrid and another in Bilbao—where she studied different subjects and methods of generative design, emerging software and new logic in architectural practice.
Collaborating with leading offices and architects in Portugal, Ana Teresa has worked both nationally and internationally. Her expansive work in the public and private sectors includes the construction of cultural, mixed-use, and education facilities, as well as the repurposing of private dwellings in various scales from ideation to site construction.
Before joining UHA in 2021, Ana Teresa worked with João Luís Carrilho da Graça (2015–2021) and Embaixada Arquitectos (2011–2013), in Lisbon.
