Located in the University City of Pune, often referred to in India as the ‘Oxford of the East’ due to the presence of several well-known educational institutions, this mixed-use development comprises two distinct structures — an iconic column-free office building sitting above a retail podium, as well as a new high school that faces the Mula-Mutha River.
The school component was included as part of planning requirements to provide primary and secondary education for up to 600 pupils. The school building is designed with classrooms facing a central courtyard and circulation to the perimeter and is linked to the mixed-use commercial building through a series of green terraces and roof gardens. Playing fields act as a buffer zone between the different building components.
