Distinction through repetition; gravity defined by a grid
Gravity is a business centre in Limassol, Cyprus. It sits on a corner plot, opening up on two sides to the street. The façade adopts a grid-like, modular-looking fenestration that wraps around the perimeter of the building.

Concept
While the internal spaces take up varying areas, the design of the façade equalises them through it's consistent grid. The rectangular floorplate, along with wraparound balconies, accentuate the horizontal linearity of the building. The vertical members counter this, creating a balanced, uniform grid network on all sides of the building.
The white finishes strongly contrast the greenery around, giving the project its distinct look.
The edges of the fenestration members meet without combining, creating an interesting profile on all four corners of the building. Rising beyond the roof, the vertical batons enclose the terrace and add a sense of lightness to the design.
