Senior Associate Dimitris Akritopoulos returned to Athens last week as a keynote speaker at The BIM Conference for the second year running. This year, his presentation centred on the unique challenges of delivering large developments in emerging markets, and how innovation can help turn constraints into opportunities.
As well as a programme of presentations, the conference featured roundtable discussions moderated by experts, who guided conversations on selected architectural and engineering themes. These sessions encouraged open dialogue among both speakers and attendees, ranging from newcomers to BIM to highly experienced professionals.
The speaker lineup was broad: from engineering and software companies showcasing their tools and services, to other architects and engineers sharing case studies on how BIM and new tech are transforming real projects.
