A vicarious journey through Salone del Mobile Milano

The UHA team lived vicariously through Erin Upton-Hansen's recent visit to Milan for Salone del Mobile.

As our Head of Interiors, Erin is always keen on staying in touch with the design trends and being a part of ongoing conversations in the design world. The London team had the opportunity to rummage through her photo album from the trip and take a virtual tour of the festival.

Fabric samples and American nostalgia

Erin recounted her time working in the States, where her desk drawers would be full of fabric samples. Walking through Salone, she noticed some of the samples she already had put on display.

Salone is temporary but terrazzo is forever!

Erin's album from the Milan week was interspersed with photos of terrazzo flooring she admired.

Visual inspiration is a big part of our process and attending art and design fairs gives us a chance to keep up with global trends. As an interconnected studio, it becomes central to our ethos to communicate these ideas and inspirations across the board, letting everyone benefit from these visits.
