Application Deadline: 31st July 2026
Do you think in graphics, feeds and grids? Can you identify a scroll-stopping image before anyone else, and back it up with real design craft, whether that's a static post or a reel?
Are you visually sharp, self-directed, and fluent in how design brands show up on Instagram and LinkedIn, and the difference between the two? Are you excited to work in a studio in Mumbai as part of an international architecture and design company?
We are searching for a Social Media Manager/Graphic Designer to join our Communications team, based in Mumbai. Working closely with our Head of Marketing & Communication, you will take ownership of the visual side of our social channels, designing original imagery, layouts, campaign content and short-form video for Instagram and LinkedIn. You will contribute to social media strategy, be a key member of the team, and lead the day-to-day execution of our social strategy, including testing, measurement, and iteration.
We're looking for a digital native who lives and breathes socials, understands the difference between showing and interacting, and who has a design sensibility that feels genuinely aligned with UHA's visual identity and style. You should be curious, inquisitive, confident, editorial and design-led in your approach, with the ability to balance creativity and strategic thinking to grow engagement and followers, not just execute a brief.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce original imagery, layouts, campaign concepts and short-form video (including Reels) for Instagram and LinkedIn, translating projects, studio culture and industry point of view into scroll-stopping content
- Develop post concepts across a mix of formats, including project spotlights, studio culture and thought leadership, working from a light brief and your own research
- Apply platform-appropriate tone and style, distinguishing Instagram's more visual, informal register from LinkedIn's more formal, professional one
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, who leads strategy and copy, to bring campaigns and individual posts to life visually
- Build and maintain a flexible visual toolkit of templates, layouts and treatments so content can be produced quickly without a full brand asset pack for every post
- Bring strategic thinking as well as visual execution, proposing content and campaign ideas aimed at growing engagement and followers, rather than only executing a fixed content calendar
- Monitor how content performs and feed learnings back into future design decisions
- Maintain and evolve a consistent visual identity for UHA's social channels, in partnership with the Head of Marketing and Communication
- Support the Head of Marketing and Communication with occasional visual assets for wider marketing and brand materials, as needed
- Occasionally step in to support the London-based creative team with graphic design support
Skills
- Strong visual style, layout and composition sense, with a portfolio that shows original social content design, and a design sensibility that feels genuinely aligned with UHA's own visual identity: cinematic, editorial and photography-led, rather than heavily graphic
- Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, with strong working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator; comfortable with Figma or Canva for rapid concept design
- Demonstrable experience designing for Instagram and LinkedIn specifically, understanding how format, pacing and tone differ between the two
- Comfortable working from a light brief and independent research, without a full asset pack or detailed instructions
- Good editorial and strategic judgement, able to identify what is worth posting and explain why, with ideas for growing engagement and followers over time
- A collaborative approach, able to work closely with a Head of Marketing & Communication who owns strategy and copy
- Confident putting together reels and other short-form video content for Instagram, from concept through to edit
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple concepts and deadlines independently.
